The Radio Club of Salesian College Siliguri has officially launched Everrooted, an innovative ecological intelligence platform aimed at reshaping how individuals understand, experience, and act for the planet.

The platform was unveiled by Fr. C.M. Paul, who described Everrooted as “a living system that challenges individuals to witness the impact of their choices in real time and evolve with the planet they call home.” He noted that the initiative moves beyond conventional awareness campaigns to foster sustained ecological engagement.

Developed by Anand Kumar along with the Radio Club Tech Team, Everrooted blends environmental science, psychology, and design into a single behavioural framework. Kumar said the platform is designed not merely as a digital application but as a behavioural movement. By integrating real-time data with gamified learning, it enables users to experience how everyday decisions directly shape environmental outcomes.

Everrooted features real-time ecological dashboards, carbon footprint simulators, biodiversity tracking tools, climate projection models, and structured learning modules. Central to the platform is a Behavioural Influence Engine based on reinforcement psychology. Users engage with a dynamic ecological character whose vitality reflects their daily environmental choices. Sustainable actions enhance the character’s health and growth, while harmful behaviours lead to visible decline, translating abstract climate concerns into tangible accountability and habit formation.

The initiative received strong support from Fr. Savio Silveira, Global Coordinator for Integral Ecology in Salesian Youth Ministry and a key leader of the Don Bosco Green Alliance. He praised the innovation and pledged institutional backing for its global expansion, emphasising that empathy for the Earth must precede meaningful action.

Echoing this sentiment, Dr Prajwal Chhetri, Dean of Sciences and Coordinator of the Green Campus initiative, said Everrooted aligns with the institution’s sustainability vision and empowers students to take ownership of ecological responsibility.

With multilingual access, personalised recommendations, and participatory feedback systems, Everrooted is designed for global scalability. Backed by the Don Bosco Green Alliance, the platform is expected to expand across youth networks worldwide, offering young change-makers an interactive, daily pathway to live out climate responsibility.
