Youth experience the power of dreams
The Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) Gujarat held a captivating three-day youth seminar titled, The Dream that Makes You Dream, from November 13 to 15 at the AmrutDhara Don Bosco Animation Centre, Kapadvanj. Aligned with the Strenna 2024 of the Rector Major, the seminar brought together around 80 enthusiastic young minds to explore the power of dreams and their potential to shape a brighter future.
The seminar unfolded with an insightful inaugural address by Father Ashwin Macwan, Director of AmrutDhara Don Bosco, who outlined the purpose and guidelines. Father Pratap Damor, the Rector, warmly welcomed the participants, setting the stage for a stimulating and transformative experience.
The seminar brought together a distinguished group of speakers who captivated the audience with their expertise and insights. Father Dinesh Vasava, Director of the Salesian Catechetical Centre in Pune, delved into the profound concept of The Dream that Makes You Dream, igniting the imaginations. Mr Shailesh Christie, a retired Sub-Registrar of Gujarat, shared his wisdom on cultivating dreams through the subconscious mind, inspiring the youth to tap into their limitless potential. Mr Hasmukh Vaghela, a renowned author and motivational trainer, led an interactive session on creativity, emotional intelligence, and dreaming, encouraging the participants to embrace their unique talents and pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.
Mr Prakash and Mrs Vandana Macwan, experienced counsellors, provided valuable insights from a biblical perspective on the significance of parents and family in shaping dreams. Mr Rajesh Christian, a member of the Editorial Board of Doot Magazine, captivated the audience with his innovative approach to creative thinking and problem-solving, stimulating critical thinking and encouraging the youth to approach challenges with a fresh perspective. Mr Shailesh and Mrs Priti Rathod, experts in promoting a growth mindset, engaged the young in a meaningful discussion about adaptability in the face of technological advancements, highlighting the importance of embracing change and leveraging technology to achieve one's dreams. Finally, Mr Ratilal Jadav, a renowned catholic social activist, emphasised the crucial role of youth in addressing social challenges, inspiring the participants to act, work for social causes and positively impact the communities.
The SYM Gujarat Youth Seminar 2023 concluded on a resounding note of success, inspiring the young participants to embrace their dreams and pursue their aspirations with unwavering determination. The youth expressed their gratitude for the enriching experience.
