Training of Trainers @ Don Bosco provincial House, Bangalore

The training of trainers for the skill training project of Don Bosco Tech Network project was conducted at Don Bosco Provincial House Bangalore from 5th July 2010. Fifty Six trainers had come from Karnataka, Kerala Goa, Uttar Pardesh and Assam to participate in the four days` training programme.
The trainers recruited by the National Office to take the project forward across the National Network. Fr Joy Nedumparambil, the Regional coordinator of Bosco South Project of the Don Bosco Tech Network welcomed the gathering and explained about the project which is already launched in the provinces. Fr George Mathew, the Provincial Economer, in his speech, exposed the life of Don Bosco and the vision and mission of the Salesian Congregation to the participants. Fr. K O. Thomas, the Vice provincial of the Bangalore province appealed to the participants to develop a passion for training the youth. Mr. Sunil Sharma from DB Tech Delhi and Mr. Mahesh from DB Tech Mumbai were the resource persons for the training of the trainers. The objective of the training programme was to introduce the project to the trainers and to equip them to handle their sessions when they train their students in the various trades in different Don Bosco institutions. The participants with their active participation and enthusiasm have added much energy to the training programme. Each participant had opportunities to conduct mock sessions related to their trades and professions. The sessions with a combination of various activities like role plays, games and group discussions have brought out the best in the participants. The training programme came to an end on 8th July 2010. We are sure they are better equipped to take forward the mission of skilling India through the Don Bosco Tech Network and support of the Ministry of Rural Development.
