Don Bosco Past Pupils Mark Independence Day with Blood Donation Camp
The Don Bosco Past Pupils Unit of Savedi observed Independence Day with a noble gesture by organizing a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Ahilyanagar Blood Bank. The initiative reaffirmed the group’s commitment to serving humanity through meaningful action.
Past pupils, parents, and parishioners turned out in large numbers, generously donating blood. Their participation symbolized compassion and solidarity, echoing the spirit of freedom as an opportunity to share and care for others.
The occasion was graced by Fr. Ajit Munis, Fr. Richard Burkao, and Dn. Sheldon Dias, who, along with teachers of Don Bosco Vidyalaya, actively joined the initiative and donated blood. Their involvement inspired many to step forward and support the cause.
The camp’s success was credited to the meticulous planning of Dr. Pravin Gaikwad and Mr. Tushar Kedari, President of the Past Pupils Unit. With the support of committee members, they ensured smooth registration, donor care, and safety measures throughout the event.
The overwhelming response from the Don Bosco family highlighted the enduring bonds of the institution. Each unit of blood collected brought hope to those in need, while reminding participants that true independence is reflected in service to others.
