Don Bosco College, Narsipatnam, held its third Past Pupils’ Meeting on January 18, bringing together 70 registered alumni in a spirit of fellowship and renewed commitment to the institution's growth and service to society. The gathering reaffirmed the enduring bond between the college and its former students, highlighting alumni as partners in the college’s academic and social mission.

The meeting commenced with a prayer service, followed by the traditional lamp lighting, setting a solemn and reflective tone. Fr. Upendra, the college's Principal, welcomed the alumni and underscored the crucial role of past pupils in the overall development of the institution. He particularly emphasised their contribution to the ongoing NAAC accreditation process, urging alumni to actively respond to institutional reviews and provide constructive feedback to strengthen the college’s accreditation efforts.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Fr. Mariadas called upon the alumni to extend tangible support to the college through collective fundraising initiatives and social outreach programmes. Stressing the importance of unity among past pupils, he encouraged established alumni to mentor and support fellow alumni, especially those seeking employment and career guidance.

The programme also focused on organisational matters concerning the Past Pupils’ Unit. Discussions highlighted the need for a structured financial system and enhanced alumni engagement through batch-wise meetings. Mr Praveen, Vice-President, spoke about strategies to strengthen the unit’s self-sustainability, while Miss Madhurya, President, briefed the members on the society registration process and the alumni unit's functioning.

As part of the celebrations, staff members were felicitated for their dedicated service to the institution. Cultural performances by students added colour and vibrancy to the event. The meeting concluded with a collective call for past pupils to serve as beacons of hope and inspiration to the present generation, reinforcing the shared legacy and mission of Don Bosco College and its alumni.
