Avsar Mega Job Fair Connects 1,000+ Youth with 80 Recruiters
The auditorium of Don Bosco Nerul was abuzz with energy on Friday as over a thousand young job seekers converged for the Avsar Mega Job Fair, a large-scale employment drive aimed at bridging the gap between skill training and industry demand.
The day-long fair, organized by Don Bosco Avasar in collaboration with the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) and the Bombay Catholic Sabha (BCS), brought together recruiters from 80 leading companies across diverse sectors, including Engineering, IT, Telecom, Hospitality, Logistics, FMCG, Retail, and Banking.
For many participants, the fair provided a rare opportunity to attend multiple interviews under one roof. Candidates could directly hand over their résumés to employers, with several being shortlisted or even hired on the spot. “I am very satisfied that I visited the mela and was shortlisted for a few jobs,” said one participant, echoing the positive feedback shared by many others.
In addition to recruitment, the fair also featured interactive sessions on job readiness, where experts shared insights on industry expectations and the effective use of technology in the workplace. These sessions were designed to help young people align their skills with market needs while boosting their confidence.
With its high turnout and strong employer participation, the Avsar Mega Job Fair proved to be a significant step in creating opportunities and fostering a “win-win” situation for both recruiters and candidates.
