The first-ever public job fair in Tezpur, organized by Bosco Reach Out (BRO) – Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN), Guwahati, drew hundreds of eager job seekers and top recruiters to the Don Bosco Socio-Technical Institute (DBSTI) campus on Saturday.

Held in collaboration with ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), District Employment Exchange – Sonitpur, and DBSTI Tezpur, the fair created a vital platform for career opportunities, networking, and professional growth in the region.

Ignatius Gari SDB, Associate Director of BRO Guwahati.

In his keynote, Bishop Toppo lauded the initiative as a “meaningful step in opening doors of opportunity for youth,” acknowledging the contributions of BRO and AIDA in Northeast India. Fr. Paul Rabha urged participants to seize growth opportunities, while Fr. Ignatius Gari emphasized the Don Bosco Job Placement Network’s vision of creating employment pathways for young people.

Leading recruiters at the fair included Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., SBI Life Insurance, Quess Corp. Guwahati, Adhaan Solution Pvt. Ltd., Springal Food Technologies, and Gram Tarang Technical Vocational Education & Training Pvt. Ltd.

The fair registered over 350 candidates online and welcomed 254 in person, with more than 100 shortlisted for employment across sectors. Attendees participated in interviews, career interactions, and real-time recruitment processes throughout the day.

Coordinated by Mr. David Kujur (BRO–JPN) and Mr. Sebi Chacko (AIDA–JPN), under the leadership of Fr. Ignatius Gari SDB, the event marked a significant milestone for Tezpur. Organizers pledged to continue similar initiatives, fostering collaboration between institutions, industries, and government bodies to boost youth employability in Northeast India.
