`Habemus inspectorem novum!`

Reverend Father Angel Fernandez Artime, the Rector Major, has appointed Father Angelo Sylvester Miranda (known as Roshan), the present Vice Provincial, as the 4th Provincial Superior of the Salesian Vice-Province of St. Joseph, Sri Lanka (LKC), for six years, 2021-2027. The joyful news, `We have a new Provincial`, came on June 11, 2021.
Father Roshan was born on December 27, 1979, in Negombo, Sri Lanka. He made his First Profession on August 15, 1999, at Kotadeniyawa, and the Perpetual Profession on May 1, 2006, in Manila, Philippines. After completing his theological studies at Don Bosco School of Theology in Paranaque City, Philippines, he was ordained a priest on September 4, 2008, in Negombo, Sri Lanka. After his Ordination, he served in different communities of Negombo, Murunkan, Palliyawaththa, Kilinochchi, Novitiate at Kotadeniyawa, and Novitiate at Arambegama in various capacities. He has served as the Rector of Bosco Sevana, Uswetakeiyawa (2014-2015), and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Palliyawaththa (Colombo Arch-diocese) (2015-16). He holds a Licentiate Degree in Salesian Spirituality from UPS. He was serving as the Vice Provincial for the past two years (2019-2021). We congratulate him and thank him for accepting this responsibility of service. We assure him of our prayerful support as he takes on the leadership role to guide and lead the Salesian Vice-Province of St. Joseph, Sri Lanka.
