CFCA Training Programme for the Coordinators of BREADS Sub project

Christian Foundation for Children and Ageing (CFCA) is a U.S based organization that supports the education of needy students in the developing countries. BREADS- CFCA Sponsorship programme has about 800 students under its care in the 25 sub projects in Karnataka and Kerala.
Two training programmes were organized for the Coordinators of the sub projects in order to update them of the latest requirements of CFCA concerning communication, documentation, reporting and accounting. The Coordinators of Karnataka region met at Don Bosco, North Road, Bangalore on 19th August and the Coordinators of Kerala region met at Don Bosco Vaduthala, Cochin on 22nd August.
Through a well prepared power point presentation, Ms. Abiya Susan (Programme Officer - Sponsorship) presented the latest requirements of CFCA sponsorship programme. In the presentation she explained to the Coordinators the importance of maintaining the documents, procedures for correspondence, requirements for applying for scholarship etc. Participants were encouraged to share some of the good practices that were being carried out in their sub project for the benefit of all the participants. In the afternoon session, the requirements of CFCA accounting was presented through a power point presentation. The participants left the training programme with renewed commitment to assist the students who are under the CFCA Sponsorship programme.
