(ANS - Guwahati) - Following the attacks yesterday 30 October, at Guwahati and in other cities in the State of Assam, the inauguration of the ``Don Bosco University`` has been postponed.
Following the attacks yesterday 30 October, at Guwahati and in other cities in the State of Assam, the inauguration of the ``Don Bosco University`` has been postponed.
For the inauguration at which the Chief Minister of the State of Assam Hon. Tarun Gogoi would have presided, Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, Councillor for the South Asia Region, and Fr V�av Klement, Councillor for the Missions of the Salesian Congregation would also have been present.
The ``Don Bosco University`` will bring together several already existing centres of studies, including the ``Don Bosco Institute`` and the ``Don Bosco College`` ii Guwahati, and others that are in other parts of the city. A new building being constructed at the gates of the capital of the State of Assam, will house the faculties of what will be the first Catholic, and Salesian University in India.
