The Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) hosted a youth workshop at the Our Lady of Tapao Center in Vietnam from September 15 to 18, 2025, drawing young leaders, priests, and bishops from across Asia to reflect on the FABC's 50th Anniversary Bangkok Document for Youth. The gathering aimed to help participants deepen their understanding of the document and explore how young people can engage with its message in today's rapidly changing world.

Among the Indian delegation, Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS) Mumbai was notably represented by Leander Pereira, alongside Shawna Nemesia Rebello, Special Projects Executive of the Don Bosco Green Alliance. Their presence highlighted the Salesian commitment to empowering youth voices in shaping the Church's future in Asia.

Discussions centred on the pressing realities faced by young people across the continent—migration, family challenges, the evolving role of women, gender concerns, and the struggles of youth in uncertain times. The impact of digital technology, the call for a fairer economy, the urgency of inter-religious dialogue, and the ecological responsibility of caring for creation were also key themes.

The program combined plenary sessions with interactive workshops, including reflections on ecology and Mary's qualities, as well as a pilgrimage experience at the Shrine of Our Lady of Tapao. Youth participants also took the lead in conducting sessions, embodying the spirit of participatory ministry.

The gathering concluded with Bishop Allwyn D'Silva's words of gratitude, affirming the youth as the "living present of the Church in Asia" and bearers of hope for the future.
