St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, came alive on Sunday as thousands of students, parents, and community members thronged the campus for the much-anticipated Don Bosco Food Fest. Organized by the students of Classes IX–XII, the event was marked by vibrant stalls, cultural performances, and a spirit of festivity.

Seventeen food stalls, each with creative names and colourful decorations, offered a rich spread ranging from Tripuri traditional cuisine to Indian, Chinese, Korean, and continental delicacies. The highlight for many was food cooked in bamboo, alongside refreshing beverages and homemade specialties.

Guided by their class teachers, students took on the challenge of preparing and serving the dishes, which were sold out in record time. Parents and guests gathered in the school assembly hall to enjoy the meals and praised the creativity, effort, and teamwork of the young hosts.

Adding to the cultural flavour, students dressed in traditional attire, while songs and dances entertained the crowd throughout the day. Bamboo decorations, traditional fabrics, and vibrant designs transformed the stalls into lively attractions.

Beyond being a feast for the senses, the event became a hands-on learning experience for the students, teaching them teamwork, resource management, and hospitality. The active involvement of parents and the local community further strengthened the sense of unity and celebration.
