The Don Bosco Youth Services in Karnataka marked a significant milestone with the successful organization of a mega youth meet at Don Bosco, Hospet, on the 27th and 28th of April. Under the proficient leadership of Fr. K.O. Varghese, the youth ministry delegate of the Province of Bangalore, with Fr. Uday Kumar, the regional youth director of Karnataka, and five zonal directors — Fr. Regi, Fr. K.C. Mathew, Fr. Aloysius, Fr. Dominic Savio, and Fr. Siju — the event saw a remarkable gathering. Themed “Samanvaya: Youth towards a Holistic Growth,” the meet aimed to foster an environment conducive to the overall development of the youth, attracting nearly 250 participants from across Karnataka.

The dream of having a dedicated Provincial House in the Province of Panjim-Konkan for effective administration, animation and governance finally became a reality on April 30,  as the newly constructed Provincial House at Don Bosco Odxel, Goa, was blessed and inaugurated by the Regional for South Asia, Father Biju Michael, in the presence of the Salesian Provincials Council of South Asia, Provincial and the Council of Panjim-Konkan, Salesians, benefactors and guests.

The Bosco College of Teacher Education and Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, Nagaland, jointly organized a two-day International Seminar on “Equity and Inclusivity in School Education with Reference to NEP 2020” sponsored by the ICSSR New Delhi. The seminar held on 26th and 27th April, fostered discussions among educators, researchers, policymakers, and teacher trainees on crucial aspects of inclusivity and equity in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. There were over 40 research papers presented.

The Bosco Institute in Jorhat recently hosted a landmark conference titled CONFLUENCE, which served as a gathering for over 30 visionary social sector entrepreneurs. Held on March 1st and 2nd, the event transcended into a platform where the future of social innovation took centre stage.

Don Bosco Vazhikaatti, in collaboration with Don Bosco Arts and Science College, Surabi, Maestro and TECH Mahindra Foundation and DB Job, marked a significant milestone by organizing the HR Summit 2024 on February 20 with the theme, Reforming Industry by Transforming the Youth. The Summit, held at Don Bosco Arts and Science College, garnered attention from enthusiastic youths representing various colleges and HR managers.
