In keeping with the honourable and time-tested traditions of the Salesian Congregation, the solemn handover ceremony of the Shillong Province of St. John Paul II from the outgoing Provincial, Fr. Paul Olphindro Lyngkot, SDB, to the new Provincial, Fr. John Zosiama, SDB, took place at Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai, Shillong. The event was witnessed by hundreds of Salesian confreres, sisters, civil authorities, prominent catholic laity, members of Salesian family and collaborators on April 24.

On 13 April seven licensed women drivers drove into the future in their own e-autos in the 7th phase of the WE Auto (Women empowerment through Electric Autos) initiative in Kollam, Kerala; joining the other trailblazers, totalling to 34 women from the local fishing community. They are literally driving change into their own lives and the lives of their communities, with the support of BREADS and its Don Bosco partner Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP).  

As mercury soared to 42 degrees celsius, students of Hospitality and Assistant Beauty Therapist courses of Don Bosco Nitika centre Kolkata along with students of DBSERVE Tuition Centre celebrated EARTH DAY on 22nd April, giving chilled lemonade to passersby and raising awareness on environmental protection. 

The Bosco Institute in Jorhat recently hosted a landmark conference titled CONFLUENCE, which served as a gathering for over 30 visionary social sector entrepreneurs. Held on March 1st and 2nd, the event transcended into a platform where the future of social innovation took centre stage.

In anticipation of the transformative changes brought about by the New Education Policy (NEP), the Don Bosco Higher Education India (DBHEI) Bangalore Province organized a comprehensive one-day seminar. The event, titled "Four-Year UG Programme: Guidelines for Implementation," took place at the esteemed Don Bosco College Angadikadavu on February 17.

In a proud moment for Don Bosco College Angadikadavu, Kerala, the institution was bestowed with the prestigious Deepika Academic Excellence Award at the 137th Annual Celebration of Deepika, the pioneering Malayalam newspaper founded in 1887. The award was presented on February 10th, adding another accolade to the college's illustrious history. Father Dr Bastin Nellissery, the Rector and Manager, along with Father Dr Francis Karackatt, the Principal, were honoured to receive the award from the esteemed guest, the Honourable Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, A. N. Shamseer.
