Reaffirming their commitment to actively implementing the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, Don Bosco Technical School organized a one-day workshop and animation program for St. Anthony's L.P. School and Don Bosco Technical School (ITI) staff on February 11.

The workshop began with an animated prayer session led by Salesian Father Kenny Pakma SDB, Rector of RRTC Umran. Father Raphael Tham, SDB, Headmaster of St. Anthony's L.P. School, welcomed the animators and participants and offered an overview of the program's significance in ensuring the safety and well-being of children.

The program saw a series of sessions, starting with Father Kenny on the Child Protection Policy, where each participant had the opportunity to review and clarify the guidelines and protocols to safeguard children. Mary Sangma IPS, Superintendent of Police, led a session on the POCSO Act. She emphasized the crucial role that educators play in preventing and protecting children from sexual offenses, underscoring the responsibility of every staff member in upholding the law and fostering a safe environment.

All the participants signed the Child Protection Policy Form, marking their commitment to upholding the values outlined. Father Shiningstar Dkhar, Principal of Don Bosco Technical School, thanked everyone and reinforced the institution's pledge to implement the POCSO Act and ensure the continued safety and protection of children under their care.
