Bangalore Youth in SYM World Council

Divya S, a member of Bosco Youth Karnataka, Bangalore, is elected to the World Council of Salesian Youth Movement (SYM). She will represent the South Asia Region in SYM World Council.

Divya, who hails from Bangalore, has been a very active member of SYM and Bosco Youth of Bangalore Salesian Province. Father Shalbin Kalanchery, Vice-Provincial and Youth Pastoral Delegate of the Province of Bangalore, expressed his joy and appreciation at the election of Divya, said, ``She has been a very active youth motivating and encouraging young people.`` On her appointment, she said, ``A great journey... Bosco Youth has moulded me and trained me to be a leader.`` She expressed her gratitude to Bosco Youth Movement, Karnataka. `` I am more responsible now. There is great learning ahead of me``, she said.
