Cyclone `Gaja`has heavily affected the southern part of Tamilnadu and made a great devastation.

Severe cyclonic storm `Gaja`affected the southern part of Tamilnaduon 16 Friday. Thirteen Southern districts of Tamilnadu are severely struck and most of the poor people have lost their homes. Electricity and communication lines have been struck and damaged. It is reported that so far 17 people have lost their lives.
A few of the presences in the Province of Tiruchy are also affected. Buildings have been damaged by the fall of trees, poultry and the cattle-farms have been affected, trees are uprooted in the farms and solar panels are destroyed. At this saddened situation the Province is trying to reach out to the affected people especially those who have lost their homes, supporting them in all ways possible.
