Salesians Release a CD on Child-Rights in Bangalore

BREADS (Bangalore Rural. Educational and Development Society), a social project of the Salesians of Bangalore Province, has just released a Kannada CD that contained songs on Child-Rights. Minchu, the title of the CD, contains ten Kannada songs related to children and their rights. Four of the composers are Salesians from the province of Bangalore: Fr. Regi, Fr. Jesudas, Fr. Jude Anand, and Fr. Varghese CP.
The CD is a project of CREAM (Child Rights Education and Action Movement), a branch of BREADS. CREAM reaches out to 75.000 children in ten districts of Karnataka. ``These songs can be used in all institutions where we work with the children. We are also going to distribute these CDs to 450 government schools in Karnataka. The songs can be used for any functions related to children and for dances for themes related to child rights,`` said Fr. Joy, the director of BREADS.
BREADS has already made 2000 copies of the CD for this venture. Minchu, which means ``shine``, is already promoted by several educational institutions in Karnataka. The cost per CD is Rs.100/-The CDs are available from the office of BREADS: director@breadsbangalore.org +918025462492.
