St. Michael`s Church, Kakkanad welcomes Don Bosco Relic

The St. Michael\\`s Parish Church at Kakkanad received the Relic Casket of Don Bosco with love and devotion. A well arranged liturgy and services attended by many thousands was the hallmark.

Rev Fr. Raphael Antony, the parish priest of St Michael`s Church, Chembumukku (Kakkanad) received the relic of St John Bosco at Don Bosco, Vennala at 05.45 a.m. It was taken in a solemn procession to the parish church, to the accompaniment of 100 motorbikes. Msgr. Joseph Etturuthil presided over the Holy Eucharist and Fr. (Dr) Stephen Alathara delivered the homily, inviting parents and families to be specially loving and welcoming to Children like Jesus and Don Bosco. Devotees consisting of parishioners, students of schools and other institutions flocked to venerate the relic laid out in the church. The flow of the faithful had hardly ceased at 10.00 a.m. when the casket was moved to Don Bosco, Vaduthala. The parish had done much by way of preparation and the visit of Don Bosco was well arranged.
