Don Bosco Relic enters Cochin: DB Vennala leads the way

Don Bosco Cultural Centre with other institutions of training such as Don Bosco IGACT and Don Bosco IMAGE organised the day of Don Bosco in the campus beautifully. The happy participation and involvement of all the inmates gave away the real character of a \\`Don Bosco Home\\`
The relic of St John Bosco was presented for veneration at St George`s Forane Church, Edappally from 06.45 to 09.00 a.m. on 3 October. Don Bosco received a unique welcome at Don Bosco, Vennala. Keeping with its cultural bearings Don Bosco was presented with a typical cultural performance. After the prayer service, members and students of nearly 15 institutions venerated Don Bosco according to a schedule prepared in advance. Audio-visual shows on Don Bosco were also arranged. The cheerful and self-sacrificing spirit displayed by everyone on the campus was indeed remarkable and inspiring. Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath, auxiliary bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese, presided over the Eucharist at 06.30 pm. There was a continuous flow of faithful throughout the day and into the night. It is estimated that over 15000 people prayed at the relic that day. The inmates of Don Bosco, Vennala kept vigil the whole night and concluded it with the Holy Eucharist early morning on 4 October.
