BIDS hosts Business Expo showcasing Vocational School achievements
Marking a significant step in aiding youth in leveraging their skills for economic advancement, the Bosco Integrated Development Society (BIDS) hosted the first of its kind in the state, a "Business Expo-2024" at the State Central Library in Shillong on September 3. The event, supported by Germany's Children's Network (NGO), featured historical equipment and products from Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS) graduates and Don Bosco Vocational Schools from Jowai and Nongstoin.
The expo was inaugurated at the Soso Tham Auditorium by Santa Mary Shylla, MLA, Sutnga Constituency. She emphasized the significant role of the government in supporting youth entrepreneurship through various schemes. Father James Thyrniang, SDB, Executive Director of BIDS, highlighted the organization's role in nurturing vocational school graduates into successful business owners. The event provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their products and express gratitude for the opportunity provided by BIDS.
