The Grand Finale of dbmnTv’s "Sur Kynud Niam, Season-2," the Khasi Religious Song Competition, concluded on July 3rd at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, showcasing the exceptional talents of children, youth, and adults from Meghalaya. Among the 47 initial contestants selected during the blind audition, 10 finalists competed fiercely for the top honours.

Kit Kupar Nongsiej emerged victorious, winning the first prize of ₹35,000, while Franky Nongbri secured second place with ₹15,000, and Tia Vanezza Kurbah took home ₹5,000 for third place. The event was graced by Ronnie Wahlang, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, who congratulated the participants for their outstanding performances and encouraged the youth to cultivate their talents further.

In his speech, Ronnie Wahlang applauded the dedication of Rev. Fr. Michael Makri, Director of Don Bosco Youth Centre and Managing Director of dbmnTv, in nurturing the talents of young people and elevating the center to international standards. Father Makri, in turn, thanked the Salesian Society, especially the Provincial and his councillors, both past and present, for their unwavering support in fostering youth development through such initiatives. He emphasized that the purpose of conducting such programs is to engage the youth in positive activities, steer them away from societal evils, and provide them with a platform to showcase their talents.
