Childline Posters in all Classrooms in Kerala

In collaboration with the social Justice Department and the Educational Department, Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu Society is reaching out to 38 lakhs of School children in Kerala with the CHILDLINE message. As per the statistics of last six months available with CHILDLINE in Kerala, there have been over 2000 children saved from different abusive situations across Kerala. Every month over hundred children undergo some form of abuse.
In order to remind children to call 1098 whenever they are in distress a constant reminder and knowledge of problems they face are required. Hence 10 posters with different messages are going into all the classrooms to benefit the children. This will impart awareness of problems they face and knowledge of the helpline.
On 26th February 2014, the official release of the posters took place at Government Model School auditorium at Thycaud, Trivandrum. The Minister for Panchayat and Social Justice Department, Shri. M.K Muneer released the posters and handed over the same to the children. The Director of Social Justice Department, Shri. V.N Jitheendran IAS, Fr.
