. Irinjalakuda: Mini Boscoree of the Kerala region was conducted in Don Bosco Schools Irinjalakuda from 15 to 18th November 2013. Rev. Fr. Martin Kuruvanmakal, Head of Education Commission, Bangalore Province, officially inaugurated the camp with a message in which he exhorted them ``to get to know each other, share the talents and get enriched.`` He also emphasized on the importance of being a disciplined person and remarked that this movement could bring the required result.
There were about two hundred and forty students hailing from eight Salesian schools in Kerala in the mini Boscoree. With classes, games, pioneering, adventure, hike, singing and dancing, and campfire the mini Boscoree was an enjoyable time for all the scouts and guides who attended it. Camp Chief Fr. Joy Ullatil, Vice Principal, Don Bosco College Sultan Bathery, and nine of the other scout masters and Guide captains made this event a memorable one with their initiatives. It was indeed a golden opportunity for all the scouts and guides to experience Don Bosco and his mission, one of the main objectives of the Boscoree. The mini Boscoree has created an anxiety, happiness, excitement, anticipation, thrill and joy in the hearts of all the Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers, Scout Masters and Guide Captains who are eagerly looking ahead for the national Boscoree that is to be held in Thanjore in 2014. Sr. Mercy Abraham FMA inaugurated the concluding function. Mr. Joseph Frenchi, District Commissioner, Scouts, felicitated the function. Rev. Fr. Vargeese Edathichira, Coordinator of the Mini Boscoree, Kerala Region, proposed the Vote of thanks.
