The staff of Don Bosco, Yadgir are trained to perform street plays on social themes. About 28 staff have been trained for one week by resource people from Samuha, an NGO in Bangalore working across North Karnataka.
The groups were trained mainly on three themes:Problem of School Dropouts and readmission through Chinnara Angala Summer Programme, Advantages of Self Help Groups
and the Government Schemes available for the poor.
The large groups was divided into three. After the training, each team put up a play in different villages. After the evaluation and feed back, the best performers were selected and one team was formed.
Now the group is ready with a good and powerful sensitization programme for 3 hours and plan to perform in all the villages around Don Bosco, Yadgir with the involvement and participation of the villages.
The team is confident about performing in any of the places in Karnataka and will look into working at more themes based on the needs of different areas.
We wish them all the best in sensitizing people through Street Plays and performances.
