The new campaign aims to create home-like environments in alternative care settings, strengthen families, and empower communities for good care of children. Ms. Vandhana Kandhari, a Child Protection Specialist with UNICEF India, was the Chief Guest and gave the keynote address. She released the new campaign poster and shared views on the campaign. Ms. Kandhari amplified the voices and perspectives of children in advocating for the importance of a family environment for their holistic growth and development. She highlighted that there is NO substitute for Family.

The annual day celebrations began with a prayer dance by Snehalaya Girls Home, Delhi, followed by a welcome address from Ms. Moumita Roy Choudhary. Mr. Pratik Dhainje reflected on the highlights of the concluding campaign on ‘Healthy Mind, Health Life.’ Throughout the year, Don Bosco YaR Forum, with help from Provinces and Hub coordinators, released 20 flipbooks on the campaign theme. Fr. Joe Prabu, Executive Director of Don Bosco National Forum for the Young at Risk, in his speech, emphasized the value of family-like environments and mentioned the importance of strengthening families to render better support for children, fostering societal acceptance of children in alternative care and introduced the new campaign hashtags: #KeepMeSafe and #MyFamilyMyRight.

The event also showcased a skit by the Don Bosco Ashalayam Boys Home, Delhi. Ms. Dorothy Amaresh concluded the celebration with a vote of thanks, acknowledging Mr. Raj Parit for technical coordination and Mr. Austin Francis for the YaR Campaign Poster.
