Training Programme for Leaders of Don Bosco Schools in Kerala

A training programme was offered to the leaders of all the Don Bosco Schools in Kerala on 29 June 2013. Nearly 250 students from Don Bosco Schools at Mannuthy, Puthupally, Irinjalakuda, Angamaly and Vaduthala participated.

Don Bosco ICSE School, Vaduthala, hosted the All Kerala Don Bosco Schools Leadership Training Programme on 29 June 2013. It was a rare opportunity for the school leaders of all the Don Bosco schools in Kerala to gather. Fr. Devassy Chirackal (Rector and Manager of Don Bosco Institutions, Vaduthala) inaugurated the event and invited the participants to be fore-runners in the society. Fr. Babu Manissery (Principal, DB ICSE, Vaduthala) welcomed the gathering. Fr. V.L. George (Principal, DB CBSE, Puthupally) felicitated the gathering. The sessions of the day were animated by Fr. Binu Scaria (Director, IYDC) along with Fr. Jaison Anthikatt (Director, DBYC, Vaduthala). It was indeed a wonderful day for the students to interact with each other and to establish a strong bond among them. The programme was filled with creative sessions, group dynamics, party games and learning experiences that would help the students to emerge as good leaders in the school and in the society. One of the students spoke thus about the day`s experience: ``A day mixed with lots of learning and a day created to feel that we are one.`` At the end of the beautiful day, the schools were awarded certificates of merit for their good performance in the programme. All of them left the institution with fond memories to cherish. The event is organized by the School Commission of the Province of Bangalore.
