13th All Kerala Don Bosco Youth Meet: Empowering Dreams and shaping the Future
The 13th All Kerala Don Bosco Youth Meet was successfully organized by Don Bosco Youth Services Kerala at Don Bosco College Kottiyam from April 12th to 14th. The event saw the participation of 260 youth and 20 animators from 18 different centers of Don Bosco. The theme of the youth meet was "The dream that makes you dream." The Meet provided the youngsters an opportunity to reflect on their dreams, engage in social outreach activities, and strengthen their spiritual foundation.
The event was organized under the leadership of the state executive team of Don Bosco Youth Services, Kerala, and consisted of three major sessions that helped the participants reflect on their dreams and plan for the future. Additionally, a social outreach activity was conducted where the participants cleaned the Golden Beach in Kollam. The program also included various fun and interactive activities for the youth.
The youth meet also had a spiritual focus, with a Holy Eucharist celebrated for Catholic participants and a spiritual animation conducted for non-Catholics. The event was inaugurated by Fr. Shalbin Kalanchery, the Vice-Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, and the concluding function and Holy Eucharist were blessed by the presence of Fr. Jose Thomas Koyckal, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore.
Several other esteemed guests, including Fr. Varghese Kapplikkunnel, the Youth Pastoral delegate of the Province, Fr. Baby Kannezhath, the Rector of Don Bosco College Kottiyam, Fr. Uday Kumar, The Director of Youth Services Karnataka and Fr. Manu Michael, the Director of Youth Services, Kerala, among others, were present at the youth meet.
