MICKEY on Silver Screens

Everyone, but Don Bosco, scripted a problem-filled life for him. Mickey, the gang leader, would never have imagined that a priest could re-script his life for the better. Mickey is an unforgettable testament to the system of Don Bosco and the triumph of the marginalized lot in our society, if cared for.
The Salesian Province of Bangalore proudly presents `Mickey,` a feature film based on the life of Michael Magone, a past pupil of Don Bosco. Having produced the award-winning children`s movie `Johnny,` and it`s sequel `Bosco,' and a telefilm on the life of Laura Vicuna, `Mickey' comes as the fourth project of the province. It is the Bicentenary gift from the province in collaboration with the Salesian Family of the province. The debut director, winner of the Mahindra Excellence National Theatre Awards 2015, and a past pupil of Don Bosco Arts and Science College, Angadikadavu (MCJ 2006-08 Batch), Jino Joseph, and Director of Photography, Jaleel Badusha have visualized and canned `Mickey` against the backdrop of the scenic hills of Ooty and Kotagiri. Viji Abraham is credited with the editing and colouring. `Mickey` has Nandulal (Don Bosco), Master Vishnu (Mickey), Jaffar Idukki, Rajesh Sharma and Rajendran Thayat in key roles. With the rich experience of having produced the previous movies, the Executive Producer, Father Prince Puthanangady SDB, is all upbeat about the new venture. Our special remembrance of Late Father Joffie Puthuva, who was instrumental in scripting and ideating about project `Mickey` at its inception.
