On 8th July 2011 was a special day for the students of CCFT - DB TECH Center Jawalgere, as the second batch of the DB TECH MoRD project was officially inaugurated. The inaugural function began with the welcome speech by Fr. Mari Swamy the Asst. Director of the center which was followed by a prayer song. The second batch was officially inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Henry D`souza, Bishop of Bellary. Fr. Joy Nedumparambil (Regional Co-coordinator DB-Tech South), Mr. Pushparaj (former Asst. Commissioner, Bellary), Fr Charles (Centre Head) & Mr. Javed, (Cluster Co-coordinator) were present for the function. After formal inauguration the lighting the lamp ceremony was done by the students from the Nursing Domain who assembled in front of the stage and took the oath of service which was prompted & said by Ms. Nagaratna. Rt. Rev. Henry D`souza in his inaugural address asked the trainees and their parents to make use of the opportunity. There was also a variety entertainment by the trainees followed by a sumptuous meal for all. There are three domains in Jawalgere which include Electrical, Industrial Sewing Machine Operator and Bedside Nursing with more than 100 trainees for the second batch.
