The Fourth batch of MORD course was officially inaugurated at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Sulthan Bathery on Thursday, July 7th. The function began with the recital of the prayer by MoRD trainees Remya and team. The welcome speech was delivered by Rev. Fr. Joe Kokkandathil, sdb (Vice-Principal Don Bosco College). The Presidential Address was given by Fr. Joy Nedumparambil (Regional Coordinator, DB TECH, Bosco South) who gave an overview about the BASE project. This was followed by the Light Lamping ceremony by the Sulthan Bathery Block President Ms. A S Vijaya and Block Panchayat Vice President Mr. Vinayan. Ms. Vijaya expressed her gratitude towards the Government and Don Bosco Technical Institute for this wonderful initiative to uplift and transform the lives of the rural BPL youth. Mr. Vinayan urged them to fully utilize the opportunity and make the most of it by working hard and to show perseverance by remaining with the organizations where they have been placed. Fr Varghese Pynadath, Rector and Principal, Don Bosco Tech Institute; Shonit Augustine, the Sales & Marketing Trainer, Students representative Emil shared their views about the project and wished the students a bright and promising career. The programme was compered by Automobile trainer Sunil Paul and ITeS trainer Jincy P A gave the vote of thanks. The three domains include Automobile, Electrician and Sales and Marketing for the project and there are more than 100 trainees in the fourth batch. The centre excelled in its performance by placing 92% of the third batch trainees.
