A thanksgiving Holy Eucharist presided over by His Excellency, Leopoldo Girelli, the Apostolic Nuncio to India, celebrated the story of dreams, struggles and indomitable spirit of the Province in the past twenty-five years.

On May 30, the Salesian communities of Kathmandu valley, supported by the benefactors, donated medical equipment and accessories like oxygen concentrator, oximeters, PPE kits, masks, and sanitiser to the newly opened Covid Centre in Godavari Municipality. The Covid situation, as in other countries, has further impoverished the small mountainous country, Nepal.

His Holiness Pope Francis has appointed Most Rev. Leopoldo Girelli (67) as the new Apostolic Nuncio to India. Before the appointment to India, he was Apostolic Nuncio to Israel and Cyprus and Apostolic Delegate to Jerusalem and Palestine. The announcement came on Saturday, 13 March 2021, at 4:30 p.m.

The Season of Creation - an ecumenical movement celebrated by the World Council of Churches along with the Catholic Church was launched at the MumbaiSalesians` Novitiate-Salesian Training Institute [STI] Nashik, on 04 September 2020. The month long celebration that began with an Eucharistic adoration is to culminate on the feast day of St Francis of Assisi on 04 October.

Bro. Duc (Dominic) Nam Nguyen, Vietnamese Salesian Brother, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Association of the Salesian Cooperators and the Delegate of the Rector Major for the Past Pupils of Don Bosco.
Father Alejandro Guevara, Delegate of the Rector Major as Spiritual Animator of the Association of Mary Help of Christians [ADMA].
Father Pier Luigi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints, will also be part of the team of the Secretariat.

The General Councilor for Formation of the Salesians of Don Bosco / Society of St. Francis deSales, Father Ivo Coelho has addressed a letter with several recommendations inviting all the pre-novices, novices and Salesians in the formation communities, especially in Italy, to cultivate communion in the spirit ``with all the more intensity in this time`` of global emergency. This could well be applied in our specific context too, in the many formation communities across Don Bosco South Asia.
