Don Bosco Tech Exhibition – 2023 and Skill Competitions were organized at Don Bosco ITI, AMSAM, N.Kuttapattu, Trichy, on March 2, 2023, to improve the practical skills in each trade. Students displayed their projects in an exhibition.

With unemployment among the educated youth on a steady rise, the Apprenticeship Mela (Job Fair) conducted by Don Bosco Technical Institute, Park Circus, on February 13, 2023, at the request of the Directorate of Industrial Training, Government of West Bengal, was an opportunity for almost 300 participants.

To provide quality education to the students of the government schools, the Nepal Don Bosco Society (NDBS) organized a Teacher Training Programme at Manthali, a prominent central city, about 170 Km away from Kathmandu from February 24, 2022. The training lasted for three days for 31 teachers from ten schools.

Bosconet India has organized one-day orientation programmes across India for Civil Society Organizations (CSO`s) to promote awareness and assist the weaker sections of society, to avail their entitlements and welfare schemes in the last two months. The sessions were for selected `Training of Trainers (TOTs) and CSOs in the following cities: Chennai and Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Aurangabad, Maharashtra and Delhi and Goa.

The Rector Major, Father Angel Fernandez Artime, celebrated children`s day at BOSCO (Bangalore Oniyavara Seva Coota), Bangalore attended by nearly 500 youngsters. Theme based cultural programmes by children enthralled the gathering. Children and stakeholders who have played key roles in the protection and promotion of child rights at the centers and areas of BOSCO were awarded with Prathibha Puraskara and Makkala Mitra Award respectively.

Bangalore: Don Bosco Skill Mission (DBSM), the master training skill development centre of Don Bosco Tech Society was inaugurated in Bangalore, on 19 March 2015 by the Salesian Regional Councillor for South Asia Fr. Maria Arokiam Kanaga, SDB. DBSM is a state-of-the-art innovation centre of the Salesians of Don Bosco in India for the training of trainers in imparting professional skills to the youth of India.

More than 200 selected youth from 10 DB Tech centres of Karnataka region took part in the mega event conducted for two days, 6-7 February 2015 at Don Bosco Hospet, a DB Tech Centre in Karnataka.

DB Tech Bangalore has been selected as a Vocational Training Provider in the Automotive sector in 57 Govt. Composite Pre-University colleges in Karnataka under the National Skills Qualification Framework Scheme Project (NSQF).

Visakhapatanam : Bosco Tech Devipura, Visakhapatanam commenced the second batch of training in Business Process outsourcing (BPO) on 5 August with a simple inaugural ceremony in the Bosco Tech campus. The Chief Guest at the function was Sr. Annie MMM, Provincial of Missionaries of Mary Mediatrix. Sr. Valasamma MMM, Vice Provincial, and Ms. Amala were also guests of honour.

New Delhi: As the international community observes the 25th anniversary of UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) a four days workshop on child rights was organized in New Delhi by PRATYEK in collaboration with UNICEF & Nineismine Campaign from 17 to 20 July 2014. On this occasion the ``Rice Advocacy and Justice Award`` was presented to Master Bharat Kumar from BOSCO, Bangalore, for his contribution to society as activist of child rights.

The first Yamaha Training Center in Kolkata was inaugurated at Don Bosco Technical School, Liluah on 17 July, 2014. It brought together two renowned groups, Yamha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd and the Salesians of Don Bosco, both with their specific fields of specialization, to provide a platform to under privileged youths to build up their career through Skill Development Training.

Don Bosco National Forum for the Young at Risk (YaR) offered two-day training in Standardization of YaR centres at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bangalore, on 6 & 7 July 2013. Fr. Mathew Thomas SDB (Secretary, National Forum) was the chief resource person. There were about 25 participants from 14 Yar centres in the province.
