A Workshop on Juvenile Justice, Childline & Child Rights for Federation Group Members Jayanagar was oragnised on 9th March 2010.It was oragnised by National Initiatives for Child Protection [NICP]in collaboration with Child Line Bangalore.

A Workshop on Juvenile Justice, Childline & Child Rights for Federation Group Members Jayanagar was oragnised on 9th March 2010.It was oragnised by National Initiatives for Child Protection [NICP]in collaboration with Child Line Bangalore at All Women Conference Hall, from 9.00am to 2.00pm. The main objectives of the training programme were to Sensitize the allied systems to the needs of children and to make a child friendly system, to Spread awareness about services available for children, such as CHILDLINE. The Programme was inaugurated by Fr.Jaimon - Director, Child Line, BOSCO Bangalore, Mr. Basvaraj- Coordinator of Special Juvenile Police Unit,BOSCO, Mr.Shivamallu- Coordinator of Street Presence, BOSCO, Mrs.Bhagya, & Mrs. Mary- Federation Group members. The first Session commenced with the talk on Juvenile Justice Act. The second Session was on Child Rights and the last session was based on Child Protection and Childline. During the talks various issues were discussed like education and child rights, role of Childline, Missing child & role of Childline, Connectivity level, how the cases are dealt by Childline, Role of Federation Group in safeguarding Child Rights and Juvenile Justice Act. At the end of the programme the Federation Group agreed to cooperate in giving awareness to every SHG groups and their team members.
