The Rector Major addressed the students of the College numbering 1343 students, 117 teaching and 77 non-teaching staff. The Rector Major said that he was see so many young people in the college. He informed them that the Salesians have 62 Higher Education Institutions around the world. He said that Don Bosco believed in the goodness of young people. He added that young people around the world are different in culture, language or colour but their heart is the same! He stated that all have dreams of the future. Pope Francis in his writing recommends that young people need to become more aware of the lack of human rights and justice in many parts of the world and that it is possible to come out of this crisis only through the timely interventions of our young people. He further said that students should not receive education merely for making money. Money should come only as an aid for basic needs. Happiness and Joy are the most important things in life and in seeking this he promised that their dreams will come true. The Rector Major asked them to seek the assistance of Salesians who are always available in the campus and said that Salesians were here just for this reason. He encouraged and thanked the teaching staff in the name of Don Bosco telling them:`Thank you` for assisting the Salesians in realizing the dreams of the young.
