Chapter May Screen New DVD Film on GC26 Theme

ROME, 2 April - A brand new digital animation DVD film on Johny Bosco`s dream at nine reached Chapter Moderator Fr Francesco Cereda last week. The original concept and character creation by an Indian Salesian Brother captures GC theme - Da Mihi Animas, Caetera Tolle. The moderator may screen the short film in Italian language, in the coming days.

`Though it is only 10 min of digital animation, it took me some 150 hours of computer work. As much as people enjoyed watching it, I enjoyed making it,`` says Salesian Brother Mathew John, a student at Verona Graphic Institute 15 years ago. He used 5 different digital animation programmes in realizing this project which he started after Christmas and finished only just few days before Easter this year. ``Who ever wants to dub this film in what ever language I am most pleased to grant permission provided they send me the voice file,`` says Br Mathew John a former student of Don Bosco Graphic Arts Calcutta, Salesian Institute of Graphic Arts Chennai and Don Bosco Press New Delhi. He hopes to give the DVD entitled Il Ragazzo Del Sogno (The Boy of the Dream) produced by Istituto Salesiano San Zeno Verona to all chapter members to take home as a tool to recall GC 26 theme and a reminder to go back to Salesian roots.
