BOSCO PNAR is a multipurpose vocational training centre, belonging to and managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco, registered under the Societies Registration Act of Societies Act 7 of 1990 No. SR/BP-206/91 of 1991. It is a non-communal, non-religious and non-political organization. Its main aim and spirit is to strive for the upliftment and excellence of the people of the region, especially the youths. The training centre is opened to all students irrespective of religion, creed or caste. Bosco Pnar had its humble beginnings in 1991 with Rev. Fr. Turco Ugo SDB, who started the centre in whatever way he could and with the help of his friends from abroad and from the State Government. Since its existence it has been a centre for a multipurpose vocational trainings and all the courses that are conducted in the institution are being regularized and organized as in other Technical Training Institutes of Don Bosco, India. The institution is for the advancement of technical, entrepreneurial, vocational skills and human resource development. It would function as a social enterprise and a non-profit making organization with the following objects: a) to act as a one-stop shop for: human resource development, skills and training development, research and documentation on innovative, educational, vocational and entrepreneurial initiatives. b) to liaise and collaborate with like-minded members, Government of India, State Governments, NGOs. c) to develop innovative, enterprising and appropriate ideas, skills and technologies. Thus we strive to: i. promote ideas, skills and talents. ii. promote dignity and equality of labour. iii. provide skills for employment/self-employment. iv. promote technical creativity and skills. v. build up and support human resources and human capitals. vi. form honest citizens with good character, discipline and integrity.
