An academic school with ICSE board was started on 15th January 1973. As there was practically no facility for education in the tea garden area so Savio Youth Center was begun in 1979 as a boarding for poor boys. The children also used to attend the night school of Don Bosco. Continuing with the vision of Don Bosco, Don Bosco Tech initiated its first step at Siliguri from June 2010 to provide jobs to the under privileged youths of the Hilly region.
