DB Tsunami mission was started in 2005 for the relief and rehabilitation work for tsunami affected people in Cuddalore region. DBRITE was emerged as continuity of rehabilitation work in order to empower tsunami affected youth with the help of JDW in 2007 for three years. DBRITE had non formal tech school with residential facilities, neighbouhood ministry like night schools, SHG groups, and vazhikatti programme.
