At the invitation of the Bishop of Chickmagalur, Rt. Rev. John Baptist Sequeira, in June 1990, authenticated by the lease of 1.7 acres of land adjacent to the parish Church of Hassan for a period of 99 years. The province began the construction of Don Bosco Technical Institute at Hassan.
