HISTORY OF DON BOSCO MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL
It was founded in 1983 and was recognized under the code of regulations for Matriculation Schools, Tamil Nadu vide D.Dis.No.1901/17/E3/83 dated 4th April 1984 of the Director of School Education, Chennai 600 006. It is a Catholic minority institution. It was upgraded as Higher Secondary School in July 1983. It is run by the South Indian Salesian Society.
The School has an Aspirantate intended for Catholic boys who wish to become Salesians [Priests or Brothers].
The institution aims primarily at providing a good catholic education for students of catholic parentage. However, it welcomes students of other faith as well.
