HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
This school was founded in 1946 as a matriculation school as Sacred Heart High School at Sacred Heart College Campus. It was affiliated to the University of Madras and it obtained its recognition. In July 1979 it was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School and recognition was granted to the Higher secondary Section by the Director.

MOTTO: Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School is run according to the principles laid down by the saintly founder, St. John Bosco. The school aims at developing the character and personality of each pupil. To the students of the Christian faith, it also gives spiritual, mental, moral, social and physical formation based on the principles of Christian faith. It also gives spiritual, mental moral, social and physical formation to all its non Christians pupils. This is a minority school for Salesian aspirants and for Catholics but it also admits other children irrespective of caste and creed.
