Don Bosco Polytechnic College was started in the year 2009 by the grace of God through the intercession of Mary Help of Christian St. Joseph and Don Bosco, to bring change in the lives of the poor and marginalized youth of this locality. This institution provides three years Diploma Course in various branches and one year Non-Formal course too. It aims at developing young and innovative technicians with high professional Knowledge. This institution is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education – New Delhi) and Affiliated to. ‘DOTE’ Government of Tamilnadu.
DON BOSCO POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE at kothimangalam, Thirukazhukundram with its motto "TOWARDS EXCELLENCE" will strive at the holistic welfare of the young person by adopting the Educational Method of Don Bosco. While improving the economic conditions of the coastal and rural poor youth by imparting sound higher technical training to them they in turn will be empowered at all levels through an integrated life-oriented formative process.
