A one-day intensive training programme on Salesian Pedagogy was conducted on 25 May 2026 at the College Auditorium of Don Bosco, Yadigir, for the teachers of Don Bosco School, Yadigir, Don Bosco School, Devadurga, and Don Bosco School, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga). The programme brought together 82 educators and aimed at deepening their understanding of the educational vision and mission inspired by Saint John Bosco. The workshop, titled “Educating with the Heart of Don Bosco: A Journey into Salesian Pedagogy,” focused on helping educators gain a deeper appreciation of Don Bosco’s Preventive System and equipping them with practical strategies for applying Salesian educational principles in contemporary classrooms. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Fr. Jilson Erikattu, Principal of Don Bosco School, Yadigir, who also introduced the resource person, Fr. P. D. Johny, Secretary of the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) and Secretary of the All India Don Bosco Education Society (AIDBES). The training programme was organised under the guidance of Fr. Anachalil Saji George, Rector of the Don Bosco Group of Institutions, Yadigir. Fr. Vijay Martin, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco School, Kalaburagi, was present throughout the programme, while Fr. Philip John Paul, Rector of Don Bosco, Devadurga, was unable to attend due to prior commitments.
