Salesian Trichy observes Int’l Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, commemorated on July 26 every year, the Department for Addiction Counselling and Treatment of the Salesian Province of Trichy organized a rally in Keeranur Town, Trichy, to sensitize the public on drug-related issues.

Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Salem and Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra, Ahmednagar, jointly organised a “Model Village Development” project on 23rd March 2023. Five villages have been selected, focusing on families of those who lost their earning members as drivers. The Cummins India Foundation (CIF), through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives (CSR), supports the project. The project aims to support the widows in those families.

Don Bosco Youth Village celebrates Women's Day

International Women's Day was celebrated on March 6, 2023, at Don Bosco Youth Village Susaipudayanpatti, Tiruchy. Eight hundred Self-Help Group members of 57 groups covering 24 villages participated in the celebration. Ramon Magsaysay award winner Mr Kulandai Francis, Founder-President, IVDP Krishnagiri, presided over the function and addressed the gathering on the importance of Self-Help Groups and the opportunities for improving the per capita income of the family through SHGs.
