In Mumbai, the Rector Major offered a Mass of thanksgiving for the gift of St Artemide Zatti. Meanwhile, he met the Mumbai Board of Provincials and Rectors. Having addressed the young people in Mumbai, the RM went to Nerul for the blessing of the new academic facility. On the third day of his arrival, the RM joined the 60th-Anniversary Celebrations of the junior seminary at Lonavla and presided over a thanksgiving Eucharist. 

Many events are slated during the visit to Northeast India from October 24; The Rector Major will inaugurate the Centenary Monument at the Provincial House, Guwahati, followed by a moment of dialogue with the Superiors of the three Provinces of Northeast India - Guwahati, Shillong and Dimapur - and their Councils.

The RM will address the Bishops and Provincials of Northeast India, members of the diocesan clergy, and long-time missionaries in the region on October 25. He will preside over the Eucharist at the city Cathedral and later interact with students and youth with a stop-over at the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

The RM will visit three prominent groups of the Salesian Family - the Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians, founded by Bishop Stefano Ferrando, SDB, the Catechist Sisters of Mary Immaculate Help of Christians, founded by Bishop Louis La Ravoire Morrow, SDB and the Visitation Sisters of Don Bosco (VSDB), founded by Msgr. Hubert D'Rosario, SDB.

On October 29, the RM will preside over a youth Mass and later meet the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and attend a cultural-festive evening. Before he leaves India, the RM will meet the Archbishop of Shillong and celebrate the Eucharist in the Cathedral.
