Jesus the Good Shepherd Province, New Delhi, commenced its 10th Provincial Chapter on 17th April, in the Provincial House, New Delhi, with the theme: Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people – living our Salesian vocation faithfully and prophetically. There are 69 members, 54 Delegates and 15 Observers comprising of Salesians, members of the Salesian Family, young people and the past pupils participating in the Provincial Chapter. Fr. Toppo Augustine Albert is the moderator of the Chapter.

Salesian College (Autonomous) Siliguri, India, received a certificate of recognition for conducting Model United Nations from United Nations Association for Development and Peace (UNADAP), on 15th April 2024.

A two-day Teacher’s Training for all Don Bosco School Teachers of Pitra, Herma, Mandwi, Bishramganj, Naba Sardar and Pathaliaghat was held on 15 and 16 April at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat. Father P.D. Johny SDB, the Secretary of SPCSA and AIDBES, New Delhi, was the resource person.

The students of Don Bosco school, Mariapuram, Warangal, in Telangana district, launched a tree plantation campaign on the five acres of land chanting Grow Bosco (‘Bosco’ in Italian refers to wood/forest). The children went on the plantation drive of fruit-bearing saplings with the accompaniment of bugles and drums.

The Eco Club at Fatima School Kodambakkam, Chennai, organized an Eco-Fest to instil in the students an environmental consciousness and thus to take responsibility for protecting the environment from further destruction.
