Skill Connect '25: Don Bosco Tech Unites Stakeholders to Empower Youth Through Skilling Innovations

A two-day national convention, "Skill Connect," hosted by Don Bosco Tech, aimed to foster a robust skilling network within the Don Bosco ecosystem. The convention brought together key stakeholders, including Technical Commission heads from the Salesian Provinces in India, 77 Centre In Charges, and 37 Don Bosco Tech Society staff, under the leadership of Father George Mathew, the Executive Director. 

Father Davis, the Provincial In charge of the Technical Commission, emphasized the crucial role of all members in networking to equip youth with essential skills in his keynote address. Father Biju Michael, the Regional Councillor for South Asia, acknowledged the achievements of Don Bosco Tech in an online address and offered valuable insights for future endeavours. 

Sattva Consultancy Services animated the "Skill Connect," creating a dynamic platform for participants to share insights, experiences, and innovative ideas. The participants discussed critical areas:

Understanding the Evolving Skilling Sector: Analysing industry trends and adapting training programmes accordingly.

Building Learning Networks: Fostering collaborations with industry partners, academia, and other stakeholders.

Addressing Challenges in Training and Placements: Identifying and overcoming obstacles in delivering quality training and securing successful placements for trainees.

Co-creating Actionable Solutions: Developing practical strategies to improve program effectiveness and achieve impactful outcomes.

Tracking Progress and Measuring Impact: Developing robust systems for monitoring program effectiveness and demonstrating tangible results.

Curriculum Design and Content Development: Enhancing training curricula to align with industry demands and ensure high-quality learning experiences.

Cross-Institutional Collaboration: Exploring opportunities for partnerships with other institutions to expand reach and resources.

Establishing Governance for Long-term Sustainability: Developing a strong governance framework to ensure skill training programs' long-term viability and impact.

Collective Learning, Knowledge Management, and Dissemination: Creating mechanisms for sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches among the Don Bosco Tech network.

 Strengthening Internal Communication: Improving internal communication channels facilitates seamless information flow and collaboration within the organization.

Skill Connect '25 fostered meaningful dialogue, collaborative activities, and a shared commitment to enhance the quality and impact of skill training programmes within the Don Bosco Tech network. The convention underscored the organization's dedication to empowering youth and shaping a brighter future through relevant and effective skill development initiatives.
