"As shepherds, your hearts must be full of compassion to know the sheep," he said, challenging the Salesians to preach the Word of God with conviction and to witness with courage, echoing Christ's reassurance: "Do not be afraid, I am with you."

Highlighting the Salesian charism, Archbishop Lyngdoh rekindled a call to missionary zeal, stressing loyalty to the congregation, compassion for the poor, and simplicity of life. He also emphasized the importance of patience, perseverance, and a spirit of joyfulness in one's mission.

Community life, he added, must be marked by forgiveness, transparency, accountability, and cheerfulness. "Allow God to do great things in your lives," he urged, inviting the Salesians to total surrender to the Lord.
