The Salesian Vice Province of Sri Lanka (LKC) celebrated the priestly ordination of four Salesian deacons on 27 December 2025 at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, located at the Don Bosco Technical Centre, Negombo.

The ordination was conferred by Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude Nishantha Silva, Bishop of Badulla, during a solemn Eucharistic celebration. The liturgy drew Salesians from across the LKC Vice Province, members of the Salesian Family, clergy and religious, family members, and a large gathering of the faithful.

The four Salesians ordained to the Sacred Order of Priesthood were Fr. Warnakulasuriya Janith Jayalal Lowe, SDB; Fr. Kasturi Arachchige Suneth Madusanka, SDB; Fr. Randiranjana Jean Jacques Ernest, SDB; and Fr. Kavithan Jesurajan Mark, SDB.

In his homily, Bishop Jude Nishantha Silva exhorted the newly ordained priests to remain rooted in their fidelity to Christ and to carry out their pastoral ministry with humility, dedication, and missionary zeal. Emphasizing the Salesian charism, he called them to a preferential love for young people, especially those who are poor and marginalized, in the spirit of St. John Bosco.

The celebration marked a significant moment of thanksgiving and hope for the Salesian Vice Province of Sri Lanka and for the Church in the country. As the four new priests begin their priestly ministry, the occasion reaffirmed the Salesian commitment to evangelization, education, and service to the young in Sri Lanka.
